Index of Wind-Chill Factor Degrees Farenheit Dry-bulb Temperature//Equivalent Farenheit Degrees
The Wind-Chill Factor Chart shows the equivalent cooling power of a range of temperatures under the effects of varying wind speeds. Example: a normal air temperature of 5 degrees is equivalently cooled to -25 degrees under a 15 mile-per-hour wind. Color Code for Equivalent Farenheit Degrees: Cold Very Cold Bitter Cold Extreme Cold 35 to 10 9 to -9 -10 to -30 -31 & Below
Centigrade-Farenheit Temperature Conversion Equation: (The examples convert the boiling point of water, which is 212 degrees F or 100 degrees C) F = 9C/5 + 32 example: F = 9[100]/5 + 32 = 9[20] + 32 = 180 + 32 = 212 C = 5(F – 32)/9 example: C = 5[212 – 32]/9 = 5[180]/9 = 5[20] = 100
